LOCAL musicians are breathing a new lease of life into the G63 music scene having resurrected the area’s favourite jam session.
Every second Monday, Tam Callaghan, Charlie Crawford and a whole bunch of talented musicians from Drymen and the surrounding area are getting together to play at the Drymen Inn.
“There used to be a jam session at the Winnock, but things change and it went by the wayside,” says Tam. “But the folks at the Drymen Inn mentioned they were keen to have acoustic music sessions and as soon as we spread the word, the thing just took off and we started the jam session in May.”
When G63 dropped in last night (10 August) a dozen or so musicians were in full swing not only having fun themselves, but entertaining the whole pub with a non-stop flow of tunes of many genres.
Everyone’s welcome to come and play – or just relax and enjoy the music – at the Drymen Inn every second Monday from around 8pm (see the G63 what’s on guide for dates)
