MORE than 70 swimmers took to the open water at Milarrochy Bay yesterday (Sunday 23 August) for a come and try session organised by Scottish Swimming.

The session was the last in this season’s series of events which are part of Scottish Swimming’s programme to encourage more adults to get physically active through swimming – both in pools and open water.

In advance of next weekend’s Great Scottish Swim which takes place at Loch Lomond Shores, today’s sold out event boasted capacity participation of 25 swimmers in each of the first two sessions  – for beginners and intermediates – and more than 20 kids took part in the later juniors session.
