WITH just a few days to ’til Balmaha’s Braw Weekend Festival, the lochside site is a hive of activity as final preparations are made for the event.

Gates open at 11am on Saturday (3 October) and Sunday…and there’ll be plenty happening for all the family to enjoy – fairground ride, Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on a vintage bus, food, drink and cookery demonstrations plus daytime and evening entertainment.

An exclusive programme of live music on Saturday night from 7pm until 10.30pm features singer/songwriter Mick Hargan (7pm), first generation Glasgow punk band The Zips (8pm), alt.blues troubadour Dave Arcari (8.55pm) and indie folksters Have Mercy Las Vegas (9.50pm)...with food and a fine selection of beers, whisky and other drinks on offer.

Entry to the festival and evening music is free…plus there’s plenty free parking and although the forecast is good, most of the festival is under cover, so rain won’t get a chance to dampen the fun.
