NEARLY 50 vintage and classic cars hit Balmaha for today’s Three Lochs Classic rally orgnaided by RSAC Motorsport.
The Oak Tree Inn welcomed drivers and passengers by hosting the start and finish of the event as well as the Concours d’Elegance – a ‘competition of elegance’ at a gathering of prestigious cars.
The rally – first run in 1938 – takes in a short route of around 40 miles suitable for veteran class cars and longer 70-mile route for everybody else.
RSAC Motorsport director and motor sport consultant Jonathan Lord tells G63: “We’ve got a fantastic range of vehicles taking part – the oldest is from 1912 and we have cars manufactured up to 1982…plus a few interesting models from later years.
“This is the first time the rally has been held in this area and the change of venue has allowed us to use some new roads which all the drivers and passengers have enjoyed very much. We’re very grateful to the Oak Tree Inn for providing such a great location – and a warm welcome.”
