SCOTTISH alt.blues troubadour Dave Arcari is set to play an exclusive show to be recorded (and filmed) for a live album.
The specially arranged show is at Buchanan Memorial Hall, Milton of Buchanan, by Drymen on Saturday 4 March.
“It’s short notice,” says Arcari. “But we’ve been encouraged by some test recordings from the last couple of shows and had to take the chance to record a show at what is the perfect venue…and it’s pretty much my hometown venue on the east side of Loch Lomond.
“Folks have been asking for a live album for a long time and there’s a whole load of reasons why the time is right to do this now – not least the fact that I have some new, unreleased material that will be performed for the forthcoming release.”
Arcari has recently returned from his fifth USA tour…a five week, 20+ gig trip taking him from the East Coast to the mid-West and back to promote his latest EP Hellbound Train. The USA tour followed a heavy UK and European summer tour schedule promoting the release which debuted at number seven in the iTunes charts.
Official showcases at SxSW in Austin, Texas and recording sessions for tastemaker Daytrotter have helped boost Arcari’s profile in the USA while ongoing UK and European tour dates have helped establish him as one of the top solo artists on the circuit.
- Doors open at 7pm. Support, Lee Patterson will be on stage at 7.30pm and recording Dave Arcari’s set will start at 8.15pm.
