TOURING musician, songwriter and G63 resident Dave Arcari has released a free EP featuring four live songs recorded at Memorial Hall, Milton of Buchanan back in March.
The free promotional EP is a taster for the full-length album and features four exclusive tracks that will not feature on the full-length release – scheduled for 1 September – of the concert album.
“It was hard choosing the tracks for each format,” says Arcari. “I recorded 35 songs at the Memorial Hall show. We managed to fit 26 tracks onto the master for the double vinyl release and 24 on the CD – their maximum playing time being dictated by the formats.
“There were a couple marred by technical problems but we still had four tracks ‘left over’ so we decided to sue them as a promotional release and offer them for free download as The Live EP.”
With five full-length solo studio albums and four EPs – including the Hellbond Train EP which debuted in the iTunes blues charts at number 7 last June – to his credit, Arcari felt the time was right to record and produce a live album.
- Live at Memorial Hall will be released on Friday 1 September on Buzz Records on double 180g coloured vinyl and special edition digipak CD as well as streaming/download services.
