Local musician’s latest live album recorded in Buchanan

SCOTTISH alt.blues troubadour and G63 resident Dave Arcari’s new album – Live at Memorial Hall – is set for release on Buzz Records on Friday 1 September 2017.

Recorded in March at Buchanan Memorial Hall on the east side of Loch Lomond close to Arcari’s home, the album is available on double 180g coloured vinyl and digipak CD via Dave’s website as well as download/streaming via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3 and the usual digital services.

“I’m delighted with the way the recordings have turned out – not only are all my personal favourites and popular live tracks captured, there’s a few brand new, unreleased songs on there too,” says Arcari.

“Folks have been asking for a live album for a while now and after five solo studio albums, the timing has worked out perfectly.”

The recordings were mixed and mastered at Chem19 Studios, Glasgow by Paul Savage who has worked with Arcari on most of his studio recording projects over the last ten years.

The album will be launched prior to it’s official release when Arcari headlines the acoustic stage at The Great British R&B Festival in Colne, Lancashire on Sunday 27 August. A series of Scottish dates (see below) will follow in early September to promote the album before Arcari tours in France, Latvia & Estonia.

Arcari will play a series of Scottish shows to promote the release including:

  • Friday 1 September – Broadcast, Glasgowplus special guest Lucy Zirins
  • Saturday 2 September – Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburghplus special guest Lucy Zirins
  • Saturday 9 September – The Tooth & Claw, Inverness
