SCOTTISH alt.blues troubadour Dave Arcari plays his first local show of 2018 at Buchanan Memorial Hall, Milton of Buchanan on Saturday 10 February – almost a year after his latest album Live at Memorial Hall was recorded at the same venue.
Special guest for the show is London-based singer/songwriter Lucy Zirins who opened for Arcari on his recent album launch shows in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The show coincides with Arcari being named a finalist in the Best Acoustic Artist and Best Regional Artist (Scotland) categories of the UK Blues Awards 2018 – public voting (open until the end of February) and information is available online at ukbluesawards.com
Live at Memorial Hall was released last September on double 180g coloured vinyl and digipak CD as well as download/streaming via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3 and the usual digital services.
The album has been attracting rave reviews and radio airplay at home and abroad, making album of the week on Celtic Music Radio. The release has also been in the top five in the Independent Blues Broadcasters’ Association chart since it’s release and voted as a ‘pick of the month’ by the association’s members.
Arcari kicked off 2018 with a sell out show at Belfast’s Out to Lunch Festival last month (January) and follows his Memorial Hall date with shows in Aberdeen (The Blue Lamp – Friday 23 February), Edinburgh (Voodoo Rooms – Thursday 1 March) and Glasgow (Hug & Pint – Saturday 3 March).
Further ahead, Arcari looks forward to playing a number UK and European festival shows and a return to the USA in October & November.
