LOCAL village hall committee members are being invited to take part in a Village Hall Summit on Wednesday 27 June (4-8pm) at the National Park HQ in Balloch.
The Community Partnership, supported by Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park Authority, is hosting the Village Hall Summit event which aims to bring together all those in the national park and gateway communities who manage these community hubs.
The summit will provide inspiration and practical advice to help build individual action plans for each hall, securing our collective vision for successful and sustainable community spaces across the park.
A spokesperson tells G63: “Village or community halls are the economic and social hub of our communities. Offering a gathering space, facilities and activities – they not only provide for the wellbeing of the people living in the area but are also valuable capital assets making them an important contribution to the local economy. But properly maintaining and managing these spaces can be challenging for those with either little or lots of experience.”
